SchmietaPlus is a Boston based studio for industrial design working in many fields from consumer goods to
life-style products to medical equipment. Founded by award winning designer Gerd Schmieta in 2005 after
graduating from IDEO, SchmietaPlus exists to develop smart solutions that are relevant, unique and contemporary.
We value the craft of industrial design and collaborate with like-minded clients to produce successful products.

Our approach is flexible; our process is lean. We assemble a small team and work on a personal level with each
client on every project. We work hands-on and immerse ourselves in the project to discover challenges and
opportunities, from the inside to the outside.
